Dear —
I hope you have been v. well. Seems like a long time since we have chatted, but I am hoping to change that a bit with this project. This is the first of what I intend to be a series of dispatches from the field, reports from me to you about all manner of things that might be of some interest to at least some of you Corsairs.
This will give me a chance to stay in touch with all of you and also a nice reason to dust off this pen and do a little analog writing. I know that many of you probably have little interest in reading analog writing so I plan to also transcribe each note for easier consumption. Once each one has been transcribed, and the related links and images have been added, I will mail the original off to one of you – since it is generally nice to get a letter that is not a bill. Of course, there is no obligation to reply in kind. Though, if you are so inclined, that would be lovely.
As a test of the transcription bit I will note that if you have any interest in writing with a fountain pen, the Lamy Safari is a great place to start. It is very well designed and well-made, comes in many colors, and will last for as long as you want to use it. I use several that I have had for over 25 years.

I’m hoping to be able to write fairly often. We’ll see how that goes.
Until next time,
Sincerely,
Jade
